Select a Philippine City – Operate Your Own Web Portal.

Reside in the Philippines – Reside Someplace Else.
Doesn’t Matter – Work from Your Home in Either Case.

There are millions of people who have left their ‘bricks and mortar’ office buildings – dress clothes and dry cleaner bills – traffic jams and fumes. Their work ‘product’ is information. They work via the web.

Today, there are an estimated 600,000,000 people using the web all over the world. Some of them want to come to the Philippines to visit, play and relax. Last year there were several millions of them. The amount grows each year. There are also an estimated several hundred thousand foreigners living in the Philippines either full time or part time - and lots more will be coming as the economic and social benefits of spending time in life here becomes more widely known.

We provide information to potential visitors and expatriates – where to stay – where to play – what to do – where to live and the like. There are also a growing quantity of affluent Filipino families that travel and have grown used to the convenience of the web. We believe in the future of the Philippines. You may also.

You might want to join us and provide information about a specific location – make some money – have some fun. There are some simple questions and answers below to help you.

But before you go further – please understand there are no ‘get rich quick’ programs here. In fact, there are not even any get rich slow programs here. There’ll be no Billie Gates amongst us. What may be here for you is a way to better control your life – have a more pleasurable, laid back lifestyle helping both businesses and consumers reach their goals – all of which is done over the web.

The WebPortalsPhilippines.com servers (USA based) operate the business for you – for us - 24/7. The only stress we have is giving excellent customer service – first to our Info Clients (web users) – then to our Marketing Partners (participating Philippine businesses). Via the web, we answer questions – help companies plan promotions – solve issues. It’s not complicated – just requires good common sense.

If the possibility of managing a Web Portal in a specific city in the Philippines makes sense to you, take three minutes and complete the Background Profile at the bottom of the Q & A. One of our Directors will be back with you – via the web of course.

Q. Are there many available locations for a Web Portal?
Q. What do I do next?
Q. To operate a specific City WEB PORTAL, do I become an employee of WebPortalsPhilippines.com?

A. NO. Your business relationship is a Licensee. You can form your own company, or operate anyway you choose - your choice. As our Licensee, we provide you access to our developed technology, systems, data bases, individual business promotion expertise, marketing into the web for search engines, secure transaction keys and the like. You arrange to provide the local participating businesses that are assertively seeking more sales, and provide the Customer Service functions to both consumers and local participating businesses. Financially the Licensee relationship is like a joint-venture – both make an investment – both share operating expenses – both share profits according to a pre-established schedule.

Q. Do I need high tech skills – programming of data bases, web page design and development, etc?

A. NO. We provide you access to all of the above – plus a lot more. We even provide the technology so that local businesses like Hotels and Resorts, Night Clubs and Restaurants, Real Estate Rental and Sales Agents can up-load their own information via the web to the Web Portal. It’s a very efficient system.

Q. Must I personally operate the local Web Portal – or can I have someone else operate it for me?

A. Again your choice. Managing a cyber business is going to require anyone to be computer and web fluent. They will need an excellent command of the universal language of business – English. We have very, very stringent requirements for Customer Service quality levels. But ultimately the choice is yours.

Q. How much money can I make?

A. Income potential depends on the demographics of a specific city – how many hotels, resorts, restaurants, night clubs, schools, medical practitioners, service business, and the like there are. For an example, a Manila would have a much larger business potential than would say, a Malaybalay. Additionally since the local Licensee controls both the quantity and participation levels of local businesses – and the attractiveness of the area determines visitor interest - there is no rational way to pre-determine revenue levels prior to ‘Start-Up’. However, we will show you which industries operate on an Advertising Model (they pay for communications space in various ways – just like a newspaper or radio station), and those industries that operate on a Marketing Model (they pay lots more for an actually completed sale and/or qualified leads). We make no representations – explicit or implicit – as to the earnings potential of any Web Portal.

Q. Are there ‘start-up’ costs – monthly operating expenses?

A. YES. like any business, there are both. We will provide you access to the already developed and engineered Web Portal Modules and Individual Page formats and graphics. You will need to provide us the content about and from the area businesses. Our graphic artists and programmers will then prepare the final pages for your city’s Portal. Several years back the trade association of web folks estimated that overall total cost for a full-featured - functioning web site averaged about $200 a page. Because e-businesses make money in e-commerce activities – not paying for web site graphics, copywriting, development and programming – we will be underwriting a major portion of the new Web Portal’s costs. As our licensee, your per page cost will (currently) be $12. Means that if the total pages needed to operate the Portal for a specific location was 300 pages, then the ‘Start-Up’ expense would be $3,600 – 200 pages = $2400 – 400 pages = $4800, and so on.

You ‘pay as you go’ – meaning you pay a production retainer of $1200 which is then used to produce the first 100 pages, and so on until the Web Portal is completed. Once you estimate the quantity of local business you want to participate, we will be able to closely estimate the actual production costs. A typical ‘production cycle’ will take 90 days from start to ‘go live and be on the web’.

Monthly Operating Expenses consist mainly of web server hosting expenses – plus an individual for Customer Service and your Portal’s Accounts Receivable. Your City Web Portal will be sharing the expense of hosting with other Portals so that expense will be nominal (i.e. less than $50 a month depending on the amount of participating Portals and bandwidth use – the amount of web traffic the specific Web Portal receives). You may also be able to make arrangements to share the expense of administrative personnel with other Portal operators. This is not ‘rocket scientist’ stuff.

Q. Can I live in a foreign country and operate a Portal in the Philippines?

A. YES. You can live and work anywhere that you have access to the internet – preferably with a broadband connection. You can be in contact with local participating businesses via international telephone services which now provide unlimited talking time to and from the Philippines for about $1 a day (USA-Canada-United Kingdom) – and some 18 other countries for about $2 a day. There are as many reasons to operate a Web Portal as there are individuals. Some have well educated – web savvy - family members living in the Philippines and seek to supplement their income. Still others are tentatively planning to retire and live in the Philippines in the next 2-5 years, and are looking to build a supplemental income, or fund various trusts, etc - frequently they will be Kano/a Filipino/a couple who can operate from their home. Some are seeking to convert personal expenses like travel, communications, equipment purchases, etc. into ‘business expenses’. Some are already living in the Philippines and seek some sort of involvement in business activities, but want a non-traditional business without office/store hours, uniforms, inventories, etc. And instead of becoming a new competitor to local businesses – they seek to earn income by bringing more income to their area’s existing business. The local companies that you invite to participate in your area Web Portal love it. Mean wouldn’t you love it – and you - if someone was bringing your company more customers?

Q. Are there many available locations for a Web Portal?

A. NO. Currently most towns and cities in the Philippines are simply too small and/or their tourism infrastructure is too limited to support a Web Portal. Licensees for an available area will be reviewed and selected on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. Production for new Licensees will begin in September 2005 on a ‘First In – First Out’ schedule. The development process takes approximately 90 days from start to finish and is dependent on the Licensee’s delivery of content for the Web Portal. We’ve been providing web based information to visitors traveling to specific areas for some 12 years – almost ‘since the beginning of time’ on the web. We know what’s required to successfully develop and operate a Web Portal. More Info.

Q. What do I do next?

A. If you have a very serious interest in operating a non ‘bricks and mortar’ cyber business – AND you have reasonable computer and internet savvy AND you can arrange for the managing of a very simple web business on a daily basis via the web – just click to complete your simple Background Profile.

Upon receipt, one of our Directors will be in contact with you via e-mail. Your agreement will be with a USA company – payments made to there. About Us.

PS Please with all due respect – if you are just a ‘mild curiosity seeker’, wannabe, or have virtually no business background or management experience, please do not take the time to complete the Profile. It just wastes everyone’s time and resources. Thank you for your courtesy and consideration.
